Getting Chatty About... 'I Am Jane Doe,' Visiting Salem, and DWTS

Since we last recorded two weeks ago, it's been quite a ride catching up on life and trips! Danielle kicked things off with post-travel blues after exploring Boston and Salem (giving the full rundown), while Dami has been living her best life experiencing incredible food, shopping, and beauty products in Brazil and heading out on an awesome camping trip. When it came to pop culture and news updates, we dove into Trump asking Iran to “take out San Diego and LA" (can someone say treason?!). We also get into everything from the latest on the Cornell 7 and standing with Jane Doe, as well as chatting about the death of Gypsy Rose's ex fiance. In What We Watched, Danielle transformed movie nights with projector viewings of Up and Hocus Pocus, as well as the latest on DWTS, the first three episodes of American Horror 13, The Love Hypothesis on Amazon, late 90s throwbacks like Simply Irresistible and Down to You, and checking out The Invite on a plane home. Getting Chatty about... Dancing with the Stars, Sydney Sweeney and the Novig ad

In our latest podcast episode, we kicked things off by catching up on our recent lives, noting that both of us ended up visiting Apple Hill. Dami sets up Halloween decorations, which urges them to share what their families are going to be for Halloween. In the news, we covered Zohran Mamdani suing the Trump administration over a new immigration rule, as well as Donald Trump brushing off the concept of an AI apocalypse as a hoax—which we naturally interpreted as a sign that things might actually be far worse than acknowledged. We also touched on the latest updates surrounding health insurance cuts and rising costs, followed by a quick breakdown of recent news involving JD Vance. In our "What We Choose" segment, we unpacked the controversial Sydney Sweeney Novig sports ad and the strong pushback it received from prominent female athletes. We then turned our attention to politics with Mitch McConnell's soft return, noting how he nearly sided with Democrats on the farm bill and highlighting that he had 92 days of paid leave. To wrap up the segment, we discussed Nikki Phillippi's decision to change her mind about adopting a child after discovering she wouldn't be allowed to feature them online during their first year. Finally, we shared our recent viewing lists. Danielle has been having projector movie nights with her boys, playing all the classics: Hook, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Frankenweenie, How to Train Your Dragon, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, all while keeping up with the Dancing with the Stars season two night kick-off. Getting Chatty about… Earle Meets World, Disneyland, and Polymarket

We are back and catching up on everything since we last cheers’d! Danielle’s packed itinerary included hitting the trail for a hike, heading to the drive-ins, playing the game of Jumanji while watching Jumanji, and taking a field trip to an A’s game where Forest and Wyatt became guest P.A.'s... core memories for sure! Meanwhile, Dami enjoyed a magical Disneyland trip filled with so many amazing moments and a Monster Jam pit party. Of course, we couldn't ignore the unhinged political circus, diving right into the latest Trump News regarding his wild AI posts, including his baffling claim that he was a 9/11 firefighter and also talked about the crazy federal court ruling that we don't have the right to clean water or information about our water supply... guys, how are things this corrupt?! We also break down the mistrial in the Clancy case, dive into the whole Polymarket and Not Skinny But Not Fat drama over seemingly less than genuine statement two days later (and the broader, gross trend of betting on awful murder trials). We discuss Harry and Meghan moving back to London alongside King Charles’ statement making it clear they are still not working royals and cannot use their titles. We giggle at South Park renaming their show to South America, and react to the Anthropic AI researcher resigning to warn the public while everyone continues using AI to see what they'd look like in the 80s (and ignore how much water AI uses). Our watchlists have been totally stacked lately! Danielle picked back up with her Vampire Diaries rewatch on HBO (wait, ELENA DIES?!?) after watching Sinners on HBO (WOW!). She also watched Earle Meets World on Netflix, Coyote vs. Acme at the drive-ins (so much nostaglia), rewatched A Teacher on Hulu, Over the Garden Wall on Disney+ (an absolute first-time watch shocker!), cheered on the 49ers while watching them beat the Rams (bang bang niner gang!), and somehow ventured into the discussion of the AMAZING (according to Danielle) 2006's Stay Alive.
