Episode notes
On the fourth of November, nineteen twenty-two, excavation workers in Egypt's Valley of the Kings uncovered the top of a step cut into the rock. By the next day, more steps led to a sealed doorway. The discovery did not yet prove that an intact royal tomb waited below, but its location and ancient seals made careful control essential.
Historical and archaeological education. Interpretations, provenance, and ownership may remain debated or change as evidence develops.
