The Antikythera Shipwreck and Its Mysterious Machine
In the spring of nineteen hundred, sponge divers sheltering near the Greek island of Antikythera entered the water and encountered an ancient wreck scattered across a steep seabed. Divers and the Hellenic Royal Navy recovered statues, glass, pottery, jewelry, and corroded metal. One bronze lump looked less impressive than the sculptures. Historical and archaeological education.
