Luke: To the Least, the Last, & the Lost - Luke 6:46-49

It’s possible to say we trust Jesus while building our lives on something else entirely. We can look stable when work is good, relationships feel strong, or life is under control. But storms expose what our foundation really is. In Luke 6:46-49, Jesus asks, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?” His words are not meant to shame us, but to wake us up to the difference between hearing Him and actually following Him. Jesus doesn’t offer shallow inspiration. He offers a foundation that holds when sin, conflict, loss, and pressure hit hard. Psalm 127:1 reminds us that unless the Lord builds the house, the labor is empty. And James 1:22 calls us to be doers of the word, not hearers only.
