EP 138a: Why I Kept My Towel - Philip Taylor (Alchemystic Gold Mind) PT 1

He was surrounded by excellence, so he had no excuses. Being a gifted athlete, his thoughts of going pro took a serious turn. After a litany of setbacks, hustling to live his dream life, then waiting 20 years to get into a school that he desired; it led him to opening for and playing with legends. But when he returned home, his family was never the same. Ep 137: The Limiter

There's limits for your body, there's limits on many things. However, there's limits that we put on ourselves, which ends up setting us back. There's how far you can see yourself going, then there's how far you'll actually allow yourself to go. Ep 134a: Why I kept my Towel w/ Ronnie Olivier (PT 1)

1991, Christmas day. He should've been in the house spending time with his family and opening gifts. But he decided to go out and hang with his friend. Ops saw them on a bus. Eyes were locked, words exchanged, a fight ensued, shots rang out, multiple shells on the ground. One person in critical condition, another is dead on the spot. A 16 yr old is holding the smoking gun. He was tried as an adult and sentence to life in one of the most notorious prisons in the country, Angola Prison. "In Angola, there's two types of people in there, the one's who'll be in there till they old, and lifers, they spending the rest of their life in there. You're leaving out of there in two ways, if you get out, you're really old or, you're leaving in a box. Not many leave outta there alive." - Ronnie Olivier.
