Have you ever felt like you’d met your dream person? You start dating and for a while, things are great. They may not be perfect, but if feels like they could be the one? Until sometime later you realize that they aren’t who you thought they were. Either they aren’t showing up the way they did when you first met, or you’re seeing sides of them that you didn’t anticipate. If you’ve had that experience, then you’ve probably dated the avatar.

Our Core Curriculum today is Sociology and we’re talking about the ways we hide behind avatars- that’s the representative of you in video games, on social media, your profile pic, etc., why we date them, and how we can heal whatever wound created them.
