To Marry Or Not To Marry? [1Corinthians 7:7-16]

Episode notes

By Pastor Jason Lim

Singleness is stigmatized in many parts of the world today. Single people are made to feel as if there is something wrong with them.

So it is interesting that during the days of Paul, some Corinthians in the church believe singleness should be the ideal for Christians.

So, which is better? Singleness or marriage?

Paul sets out to answer this question, and much more, in the passage we read.

He addresses different groups of people- singles, widows, divorcees, marrieds (to fellow Christians), and those married to unbelievers. He covers all grounds so that we can all be clear.

Ultimately, however, the great question is not "to marry or not to marry?", but who are you living for.
