Episode notes
By Pastor Jason Lim
The church is God's masterpiece (Eph 2:10).
He is like that genius artist or sculptor that takes worthless materials and turns them into a great work of beauty.
There is nothing praise-worthy in the materials per se, and so the beauty of that artwork can only be attributed to God's glory.
In 1st Corinthians, we read of how God generally chooses the foolish, the weak, the despised of the world to form His church.
And in His power and wisdom, He turns them all around into a people full of beauty and glory.
So now, as the church, we must learn to boast in the Lord.
This is the best antidote to the poison of human pride, and the scourge of church division.
May we have a renewed vision of the supremacy of God in His gospel for His glory.
