Episode notes
I'm kicking off the very first episode of VOICES with a guest whose season was nothing short of unforgettable. Tyler Slager, the storyteller and hunter behind On The Blood Trail , joins me to relive the highs, the lessons, and the moments that will stay with him for a lifetime.
From the adrenaline-soaked encounter that ended with a bull elk harvested with his bow, to the patience and persistence behind tagging his target whitetail, Tyler brings us right into the heart of his fall season. But the story that rises above them all is years in the making—his emotional, hard-earned journey to connect on his first Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep in the wilds of Alberta.
This episode is about more than tags filled. It’s about grit, gratitude, and the deep connection we find in the mountains, the animals, and the people who shape our path. If you love real stories told by real hunters who live it, breathe it, and respect it, you’re in the right place.
Welcome to VOICES. Let’s get into it.
