The Great Picnic Invasion
Happy Sunday, everyone, and welcome to Cager's Coffee Break!
Have you ever planned the perfect picnic? You pack sandwiches, chips, cookies, fresh fruit, and of course, a thermos of delicious coffee. You find the perfect shady spot, spread out the blanket, sit down... and within thirty seconds the ants have somehow sent out an emergency text message to every ant in the county. Suddenly there are ants marching toward your lunch from every direction. Then the birds join in, eyeing your sandwich like they've been invited too. Apparently, you weren't having a picnic, you were hosting a buffet!
Sometimes life is exactly like that.
We plan for peaceful days, but interruptions arrive uninvited. Unexpected phone calls, surprise expenses, little inconveniences, and moments that test our patience. Yet often those interruptions become opportunities to show grace, laughter, and trust in God.

Moisture and changing temperatures can actually reduce freshness. Coffee keeps its wonderful flavor longest when stored in an air-tight container in a cool, dark cabinet away from heat and sunlight.
That's a pretty good reminder for our hearts as well.
What we surround ourselves with affects us. If we constantly fill our minds with worry, fear, anger, and negativity, it slowly steals our joy. But when we spend time in God's Word, talk with Him in prayer, and choose gratitude over complaining, our hearts stay fresh and encouraged no matter what comes our way.
As this new week approaches, ask God to help you notice the people who could use a smile, a kind word, or a simple act of encouragement. You never know how much your kindness may mean to someone carrying a heavy burden.
So pour yourself another warm cup, breathe in that wonderful aroma, and thank the Lord for another beautiful day to serve Him.
