On the night of January 8th, 1982, someone came to the front door of Robert and Janet Genho's home in The Woodlands, Texas.

Minutes later, Robert had been shot inside the house. Janet fled upstairs, managing to activate a silent panic alarm before being chased onto a second-story deck and killed.

The attacker disappeared before Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies arrived.

Investigators soon discovered Robert's complicated financial history—including failed business dealings, creditors and a million-dollar judgment. Authorities considered whether money might provide the motive.

More than four decades later, however, nobody has been convicted.
