Drawing on accounts of the loup-garou, Werwolf, vukodlak, and lupo mannaro, the episode reconstructs the biological and ecological reality behind the legend: not moonlit magic, wolf-skin belts, salves, or pacts, but altered development, inherited markers, environmental stress, neurological disturbance, and the social need to name what could not otherwise be spoken.
