Google's Gemini Agent Gets Its Own Work Email and Audit Trail

At Gemini at Work 2026, Google Cloud launched the Gemini agent, a universal agent for work that takes objectives, not just instructions. It gets its own Workspace account, email address and context like a coworker, connects to Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, BigQuery, Snowflake and any MCP server, lets users pick models including Anthropic's Claude, and writes an audit trail attributed to the agent rather than a person.
