Episode notes

Steal from Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security and you go to prison, no probation. That is what President Trump asked Congress for in a video posted Saturday, per Newsmax and RSBN: mandatory minimum sentences for benefit fraud, longer the more you steal, doubled for a second conviction. And one more piece: state and local politicians who know about fraud, have the power to stop it and do nothing would be personally liable for what the taxpayers lost. The president: "If you steal from the American people, you will go to prison and for a long period of time. And the more you steal, the longer you'll stay in that prison." He said Congress must make sure "crooked and corrupt politicians who willfully turn a blind eye to fraud finally face real consequences." And he closed with this: "So from now on, fraudsters, we're watching you." That is your parents' Medicare and your Social Security check. Somebody stealing from it ought to do real time. Now let's see if Congress has the spine to pass it. Chuck reads the proposal, as reported by The Gateway Pundit and Newsmax.
