Former CIA Director John Brennan has been ordered to appear October 15 before a federal grand jury in Fort Pierce, Florida, and his own lawyer says he "remains a target." The subpoena was handed to attorney Ken Wainstein last Thursday and disclosed in a court filing Monday, according to the Associated Press and Fox News. Fort Pierce is the courthouse where Judge Aileen Cannon sits, the judge who threw out the classified documents case against President Trump in 2024. The AP reports the grand jury is part of a "far-reaching" criminal investigation into whether the officials who investigated Donald Trump over the last decade, from the 2016 Russia probe to the Mar-a-Lago documents case, conspired to deprive him of his civil rights.
