Last Thursday, September 10, Turning Point USA unveiled an eight-foot bronze statue of Charlie Kirk outside its headquarters in Phoenix, one year to the day after he was shot and killed at Utah Valley University. It lasted three days. Sunday morning, just after 8:00, Phoenix Police got the calls. Somebody had been at it in the night with red spray paint: the face, the neck, the torso, the hand, the hats, and a frowning face drawn across the chest. Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck, and whoever did this put the red on the neck. At the base of the statue is a sign with his picture and the words "Jesus defeated death so you can live."
