by Zachary Alaimo
In Episode 3 of Track Snack, Zac and Cody are joined by Curtis Mason to dive into Currents, Tame Impala’s glossy, inward-looking pivot into synth-soaked psychedelia. Over a beetroot and whipped feta dip and a sharp Love/Paranoia sour cocktail, they unpack the album’s fixation on change, ego death, heartbreak, and the slow, uneasy process of becoming someone new beneath its hypnotic grooves and molten basslines. In this second serving of Track Snack, Zac, Cody, and their guest Elijah uncork Blonde, Frank Ocean’s fragmented masterpiece of intimacy, memory, and melancholy. Over chocolate-dipped strawberries, sweet chilli chips, and a chilled pink rosé, they trace the album’s quiet chaos and sacred softness, one confessional layer at a time. In the debut episode of Track Snack, Zac and Cody unravel the emotional turbulence of Narrow Stairs, Death Cab for Cutie’s most brooding and sprawling record. Over burnt butter and sage chips and whiskey highballs, they trace the album’s descent into heartbreak, disconnection, and the Pacific Northwest haze that lingers long after the last track fades.
