Karaoke: A Love Story
Resourced & Resourceful Leadership di Dr. Christine Petit
Note sull'episodio
I didn't always love karaoke. I used to think you had to be good at it. In this episode, I'm taking you through how that changed: sushi-bar karaoke nights in my early L.A. days, a surprise Mack the Knife from a fellow union leader, a conga line on Broadway that ended in my karaoke home, and yes, singing very pregnant trying to convince my breech daughter to flip. Along the way I share what karaoke has taught me about leadership — catharsis, play, community, and just letting yourself be all in.
I'm also telling you why I'm hosting La La La Lunch, a daytime karaoke mixer on Friday, July 10th from noon–1:30 in Long Beach for nonprofit and social-impact leaders who are in the thick of parenting. Bring your own lunch, I'll bring the mic.
