In this episode, I share the story of an Iceland adventure that involved an unexpected volcanic eruption, three kilometers of ankle-breaking terrain, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and one of the most incredible things I've ever witnessed.

When a volcano erupted shortly before my trip, a tour I'd already booked suddenly became an opportunity to see an active volcano up close. I hadn't researched it to death. I didn't know exactly what I was getting myself into. I simply said yes.

After hours of hiking over rocks and questioning my life choices, I reached the top of a hill and saw something I'll never forget: lava bubbling and splashing inside an active crater.
