194: What therapy has taught me
Explícito
Over the last 5-6 years, therapy has been one of the best investments I've made in myself. Let's talk about why I first decided to go, why I recently started seeing a new therapist, what getting diagnosed with OCD has taught me + how it's changed the way I approach my work, relationships, fatherhood and everyday life. We also talk about perfectionism, exposure therapy, medication and some of the biggest lessons I've learned along the way. Whether you've been in therapy for years, you're thinking about starting, or you've never considered it before, I hope my experience gives you a different perspective on what personal growth can look like. TIA for listening! Appreciate you as always. Where to find me: IG: @lukesmithrd Check out my website HERE

192: Turning 31 + simplifying health, fitness, fatherhood & everything else
Explícito
Tried to think about one word that describes this past year and it was tough lol. But the word I kept coming back to was simplicity. Let’s talk about some thoughts I’ve been having as I had my birthday this past weekend and turned 31. A lot of these thoughts revolve around simplifying my approach to nutrition, fitness, being a dad, relationships, business, and life in general. I think a lot of us assume getting older and improving means adding more. But sometimes growth comes from removing the unnecessary stuff and putting more time, energy + attention into the things that actually matter.
