AI Red Teaming: Protecting Performance Without Sacrificing People
As generative AI continues to scale, ensuring these systems are safe and resistant to misuse has become a critical priority. One of the key methods used to achieve this is AI red teaming — a process where individuals actively test systems by simulating harmful or high-risk scenarios. In this episode, we explore what AI red teaming involves in practice and why it plays such an important role in protecting users. We also unpack how this work differs from traditional content moderation, shifting from passive exposure to the active creation of harmful prompts in order to identify system vulnerabilities. The conversation goes beyond the technical aspects to focus on the human impact of this work. Red teamers are often required to adopt “bad actor” roles, which can introduce unique psychological and cognitive challenges. We discuss how this can affect identity, emotional wellbeing, and performance over time, as well as the concept of creative fatigue and sustained cognitive load. Finally, we explore what organizations can do to better support the people performing this work. From recruitment and role design to training, de-rolling techniques, and psychological safety, this episode highlights the importance of taking a proactive approach to wellbeing.
Pressure without pause: What Q4 revealed about high-pressure environments
High pressure work is changing. In Q4, we saw a shift from disruption and adjustment toward something more subtle but more significant: reduced psychological safety under sustained performance pressure. Across industries, teams are navigating geopolitical instability, organizational change, automation, and intensified evaluation cycles. Pressure is no longer episodic. It is continuous. And when pressure does not pause, behavior changes. In this webinar recording, we unpack four consolidated themes that emerged from our Q4 insights, exploring what they mean for performance, engagement, and long term resilience in high pressure environments.
