A marriage falls apart. A family is a caught in the middle. And one day in April 2008 changes everything.

In this episode of You Can’t Make This BS Up!, we take a deep dive into the tragic case of Patrick Wharen, a Florida man whose family conflict ended in a shocking double homicide that left a teenage son wounded and forced to live with the aftermath forever.

We examine the lives of the people involved, the relationship breakdown between Patrick and Kelly Wharen, the role of Jonathan Vuick, the investigation that followed, the courtroom battle over intent and motive, and the devastating impact left behind on everyone connected to the case.

Was this a crime fueled by jealousy and anger? Was it a moment of emotional collapse? Or were there warning signs that something much darker was coming?
