Season 1

Virginia City, Flour Sacks, and the Unmarked Grave of Milton Mygatt

In episode 17 of my podcast, I discuss the 1909 Airship disaster in Redding, California that claimed one life and damaged another. Perhaps you remember my peripheral fascination with the 78 year old man that was trampled in the melee--, and the brief itemization of physical traumas he survived before--and after this one. I went back, simply intending to make a more detailed itemization of my hero-sub-plot--dude.--and discovered that he was a ridiculously-active human being, with his fingers in everything. And he was present during some of the Wests's most formative years.

A Tribute to Indonesian Graveyards

My last show was hauntingly prophetic. I had no idea that a historical preservation site in Indonesia--@Indonesia_Graveyard -- was going to become the absolute incarnate definition of what I was talking about. Ruri and Reyhan are the definition of God's messengers. They located a lost burial place--belonging to a man-- for his children on the other side of the world. And changed lives. They deserve their own episode.

Digging up Bones: The Virtue of Remembrance

Sorry for the late entry this week. I've been slammed. But I'll explain why.

Blood in the Water: The Tale of the USS Indianapolis

It's 1945, and World War II is about to come to an abrupt end at the hands of an atomic bomb over Hiroshima. The US naval vessel responsible for delivering the radioactive uranium, would make port, and then head for the Philippines--where a Japanese submarine would have the vessel completely submerged in twelve minutes with a brutal complement of torpedoes. This is their story, and an aftermath with an even more cruel end--highlighting the transcendent nature of honor, and the dark responsibility it can heap upon a person.

The Box Under the Stairs: The Brief Life of May Woolsey

A 1979 excavation of a small Victorian house in Sacramento opened a three dimension vortex of a world 100 years prior. This is the story of May Woolsey. Dead at 12, her story and life live on.

The Mandela Effect--a trial run for something more nefarious?

A brief look at a phenomena that you have every reason to find suspect at some point.

Emergency Episode: The Death of Ozzy, and his outsized impact on the common fan

DEAR YOUTUBE VIEWERS; YES--I AM AWARE THAT THESE VIDEOS ARE ONLY STILL PHOTOS. I HAVE ONLY A FINITE AMOUNT OF TIME IN THE DAY TO MAKE A PODCAST. AS OF RIGHT NOW, I'M AN AUDIO PODCAST ON ALL THE MAJOR PLATFORMS. I WOULD LOVE IT IF YOU FOUND ME THERE AND SUPPORTED ME. I WILL HOPEFULLY BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS PLATOFRM MORE DYNAMIC, BUT I'M NEW, AND TRYING TO MAKE IT ALL WORK. With the death of Ozzy careening across the news, I thought it appropriate to fast-track an episode I had intended to. Ozzy: The authentic guy, and how that made him what he is.

The Stand By Me Train Trestle

A brief look at infrastructural fame.

Pirates 6, and begging at disaster's door

I look back at the Pirates canon, and speculate about where it might be headed. That's not a good prognostication. But I'm willing to let them take me with it for a small part.

A.I: I Smell a Rat Beneath David Sven's Gospel Music

I came across David Sven's music last week. I liked it. Then I smelled a rat. Something is off. We are heading into very uncharted and horrific waters with A.I. C heck it out for yourself: @davidsvenofficial
