Why Must We Fight?
by Jules Eger, Ben DuffSeason 1
Do you bring the grey horde to the tabletop? Or do you feverishly paint until your hands bleed before you allow your models to see the light of your LGS? Don't do the later, it's not recommended. Maybe find a middle ground? Should tournament organizers do away with the tabletop standard? We discuss all these and more in today's episode. Who wants to keep playing with that dusty, old, lame edition from three years ago? Not us! No! We want that shiny, new, maybe half baked edition that just came out. The one with all the cool new mechanics and sweet new models! This week, Ben and Jules talk about new editions of game systems and whether they're actually needed or are they just another money grab to keep the wheels turning? The Age old debate. Hard shell vs soft...I mean, simple vs complex! Ben and Jules discuss the pros and cons of simplicity and complexity in wargaming. Is one better than the other? What do you sacrifice when you hop that fence? Do sentient pianos require a control panel?! All of these are questions, but not all have answers. Every end has a beginning....this is ours!
Welcome one and all to our very first episode of Why Must We Fight. This is an introductory episode, and episode 0, so to speak. Next episode we'll start getting into the juicy stuff, the meat and potatoes, the dice and....I don't actually know how to finish that train of thought. You get the idea though. This is but a taste. Enjoy!
