Garrett Boorojian and Fenway Senior Speechwriter, former Speechwriter – Governor & First Lady Walz, former Communications Director & Chief Speechwriter – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, former Director of Speechwriting – Speaker Pelosi, Aaron Bennett

Garrett Boorojian and Aaron Bennett discuss relationship building in a team environment. https://fenwaystrategies.com/team/aaron-bennett/ "Aaron Bennett Senior Speechwriter Aaron’s parents suspected that he might have a future in persuasive communications after he delivered a passionate pitch for adopting a pet — complete with a 15-slide PowerPoint presentation. The effort was moderately successful: he wanted a puppy, but ended up with a betta fish and a lesson in the art of compromise. Many, many years later, Aaron joined Fenway fresh off the Harris-Walz presidential campaign — where he drafted remarks for vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, wrote for and traveled the battleground states with Mrs. Walz, and led the surrogate speechwriting operation. He was also a key member of the writing team at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, which produced speeches and stories that resonated from the United Center to living rooms and social media feeds all across the country. Before hitting the campaign trail, Aaron spent three years with Speaker Nancy Pelosi. As Pelosi’s chief speechwriter in her final term as Speaker, he handled everything from speeches and statements to video scripts and social media posts. His work captured news cycles and helped drive one of the most productive periods of policy-making in history — including pandemic relief and generational climate action, as well as Pelosi’s historic visits to Ukraine and Taiwan. After the Speaker stepped down from congressional leadership, Aaron helped her voice cut through the crises and chaos of the 118th Congress as her top communications strategist, spokesperson, and speechwriter. He also collaborated with Pelosi on her #1 New York Times Bestseller, The Art of Power. Joining Fenway is a homecoming of sorts for Aaron. Back in 2020, the firm gave him his first-ever shot at professional speechwriting, recruiting him to help draft a few op-eds and remarks for Biden campaign surrogates. Aaron has lived in D.C. for a decade — but he won’t let you forget he’s a proud New Jersey native. You can usually find him exploring the best restaurants our nation’s capital has to offer – when he’s not trekking across the country and world with his adventure-seeking partner and fellow Hoya, Abbey. @abennett97"
