The devil's Lies About Work (Part 1)

In this episode of the WatchMaidens Youth Podcast, we begin a new study on “The devil’s Lies About Work.” We explore how the enemy can distort our understanding of work, productivity, opportunity and prosperity, leading to laziness, mediocrity, delay and stagnation. Using 1 Corinthians 16:9 as our anchor, we examine the spiritual opposition that can arise when we step into productive work and kingdom assignments. We reflect on the need to recognise the enemy’s tactics, remain grounded in Scripture, and respond through prayer, fasting and faith. This first part serves as an introduction to the lies we will unpack in the episodes ahead. A Word to Parents

We explore the urgent need to move away from money-centred lifestyles and return to the biblical mandate of productivity found in Genesis 2. In this episode, we discuss: The assignment to "tend your garden" and teaching our children the necessity of work. Debunking the lie that the sole reason for obtaining a degree is to make money. Discovering one's purpose is the key to working in alignment with God’s plan. Defining true productivity, whether as a doctor, banker, or carpenter, as a positive contribution to society.
