What is the next right thing you should be doing? Do you have a plan for accomplishing God's will for your life? What is a victory you should stop and celebrate?

We Are So We Do: Ezra 1-2

Do you believe God has specific plans for you? Has he moved you to join your "everyone" as part of his plan? Has God used surprising people, circumstances to accomplish his plans for you? How do you respond when God uses the wrong person to tell you the right thing? How has God provided for you to accomplish his plans? How has he asked you to give towards and sacrifice for his plans for you?

Discussion Questions: Do you know your calling? Can you write it down as clearly as Paul describes Timothy's? Do you have a Paul in your life? Is God calling you to be Paul in someone else's life?Knows you Knows your calling Knows what it takes to fulfill your calling Do you have a Mark in your life (4:11)? Is God calling you to be Mark in someone else's life?Willing to assist, serve Useful in fulfilling your calling Is there one thing in particular from our study of 1-2 Timothy that God used to stir you to find, fulfill, or finish your calling?

Discussion Questions: Do you delight in God's Word? Does your delight lead to giving it your attention? Does your attention lead to gaining in understanding? Does your understanding lead to obeying its commands? Does your obedience lead to walking in the power of godliness?

Discussion Questions: How do you see the culture teach individual agency in calling and vocation? How do you see it creeping into the church or even your students at FBA? Have you ever struggled with the "greatness" or "commonness" of your calling? How are you using your gifts and calling for the common good?

Discussion Questions: What effect does suffering have on your relationship with God? Do you find it difficult to express your questions or frustrations to Him? What are some of the spiritual and practical steps you use when wrestling with suffering? Do you have specific verses of scripture, songs, books, etc that you turn to when experiencing suffering? Who do you turn to when wrestling with suffering? How have they helped you to endure when suffering? Have you personally experienced a form of opposition, mockery, or mistreatment because of your Christian faith? How did you react?

Discussion Questions: How are you fanning into the flame God's gifts of salvation, calling, and the Holy Spirit? What are ways the Holy Spirit is trying to train you in self-control? Are there areas of your life that a spirit of fear can get control of your thoughts and actions? What are the things that cause you the most doubt and worry? Of the four ways to fight for courage, which one would you consider a strength? Which one needs to be more a part of your walk?

Discussion Questions: Discuss the first time you experienced the power of the Holy Spirit in your life and how has his presence helped you know find assurance in your salvation (I have believed and I am convinced). Share a time you were aware of the Holy Spirit’s empowering in a specific situation of your calling. How would you describe what you experienced during this time? Eric Liddell’s famous quote, “I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run I feel His pleasure.” Share a time in your life when you were “in the zone” of God’s calling and purpose for your life. How did you feel his pleasure? How were you used for his purposes?

What is the hardest fight you've experience in your Christian walk? What did you learn about God and yourself during this experience? What does it mean to you personally to live with an eternal mindset? How does it impact the way you view your circumstances, relationships, responsibilities, plans, goals, and calling? What are some practical ways to make decisions with an eternal mindset? For personal reflection, is there a specific area of disobedience in your life that you need to fight harder, view differently, and/or change your habits and desires?
