The Arabian Neolithic

Warfare, Advancement, and Revisionism by Thomas Preston Floyd

Episode notes

This week we move into Asia. The first stop for the continent this season is the Arabian Peninsula. We cover the expansion of the Semitic branch of the Afroasiatic language family into this region as well as the etymology associated with that naming convention. We talk about links between Eastern Arabia and southern Mesopotamia and what products drew said connections. We also go over the wild fauna and climate people are dealing with at this time. I also speculate about the birth of falconry.
