I Am the Light of the World

John 7:1–8:59.

Jesus' own brothers push him toward the Feast of Tabernacles, certain he should make a public show of himself — and he goes up to Jerusalem in secret instead. Once there, the city can't stop arguing about who he is. A woman is dragged before him by accusers who quietly walk away one by one. And by the time the debate reaches its peak, Jesus makes a claim about his own identity so bold the crowd reaches for stones.
