After Bible college, he enrolled at The Master's Seminary (1997–2001), working multiple jobs while studying. He briefly considered ministry in Mexico, but health issues prevented his wife from living there. Upon returning, a pastoral opportunity opened in Potter Valley, marking the next step in his ministry journey.
