Jonah’s Story Isn’t About the Whale | A Mirror for the Heart
Episode notes
✝️ The story of Jonah isn’t about the whale—it’s about the heart.
It’s about how easily we forget the mercy we’ve received. How quickly we want judgment for others but grace for ourselves. How even obedience can be hollow when it’s disconnected from compassion.
Jonah’s story is a mirror—a warning against spiritual pride and a reminder of the mercy that covers us even when our hearts are slow to change.
Today’s reflection invites you to ask: • Am I obeying God outwardly but resisting Him inwardly? • Am I willing to celebrate when mercy is given—even when I wouldn’t have given it? • Do I remember that I am here by mercy alone?
No filters. No performance. Just truth—spoken in the quiet, and rooted in the Vine.
📖 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5
