AI Governance with Professor Matilda Dorotic PhD from Norway

Dr. Matilda Dorotic is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, Norway. Originally from Croatia, she has built an impressive academic career focusing on the intersection of social behavioral science and emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI). Dr. Dorotic’s research employs experimental methods, trade-off analysis, and data analytics to explore the impact of emerging technologies on citizens, societal well-being, and public policy. She places a strong emphasis on critical AI safeguards, including transparency, explainability, human oversight, privacy, and compliance with human rights. In addition to her role at BI Norwegian Business School, Dr. Dorotic is a research affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. Her work at MIT further explores the effects of emerging technologies on society and public policy, with a particular focus on AI regulation.
