In this episode of the AMCAIM Podcast, we welcome 2026 AmCAIM keynote speaker Dr. James Whitfill, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Chief Transformation Officer at HonorHealth. A practicing physician, Professor of Medicine at Arizona State University, and nationally recognized healthcare executive, Dr. Whitfill has spent his career leading large-scale transformation at the intersection of clinical medicine, artificial intelligence, digital strategy, and health system operations.
Dr. Whitfill’s work focuses on moving healthcare innovation beyond pilot programs and into scalable, measurable solutions that improve patient care and organizational performance. His leadership spans AI implementation, digital transformation, strategic partnerships, governance, analytics, and enterprise operations across some of the nation’s largest healthcare organizations.
In addition to his executive leadership at HonorHealth, Dr. Whitfill serves as a Professor of Medicine at the ASU School of Medicine and has held numerous influential leadership roles throughout his career, including board leadership within the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), Innovation Care Partners, Lumetis, and the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
