This podcast explains and interprets the symbolism found in Revelation 13:2, which states: “And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” The beast represents the ancient Roman Empire, which incorporates the brutality and tyranny of other empires before it. The beast has the body of a spotted leopard that Daniel 7 identified as the Greek empire. The beast had feet like a bear, which Daniel 7 identified as the Medo-Persian Empire. The beast also had the mouth of a lion, which Daniel 7 identified as a symbol for the Babylonian empire. Satan's power and dominion within each of these prior empires is consolidated into and becomes part of the composite power of the First Beast in Revelation 13. ...
