Episode notes
In the very first episode of Unscripted Humanity, I meet a retired teacher at a museum and — in true me fashion — end up hearing his entire life story. We talk about culturally responsive teaching, first-generation students, the harm of punishing kids for speaking Spanish, and the art that stays with us long after we walk away. Then the conversation drifts into psychedelics, microdosing, HIV and cancer treatments, anxiety, and what it means to live long enough to face ordinary problems again. This is why I started this podcast: real conversations I didn’t plan, with people I didn’t expect.
