But after meeting with his doctor, he learned the truth: if he had gone on that hunt, carrying a heavy pack at 10,000 feet, he would have had a heart attack. Not “might have.” His doctor said emphatically, “Brent, you would have.”
What looked like disappointment was actually divine protection. It wasn’t punishment. It was grace.
