Episode notes
There are two signals when you push yourself hard: the internal one and the external one. The internal is quiet — your range improves, your breath comes easier, you feel settled. The external is loud — likes, comments, the little spike of being seen.
Hard things are worth doing because they change you. But when the hard thing is chosen because it looks good in a post, the change stops. You are no longer training the body. You are training the body to perform for a crowd. That's a different skill. It might make you good at social media. It won't make you strong in the ways that matter. The best work is invisible. Ask yourself: if no one could ever see it, would you still do it? That answer is worth more than the likes.
