#65 Kill the Goal You Did Not Choose. It Is Eating Your Life.

You call something difficult.

But watch: the rock you are climbing did not label itself. You brought the word with you. You carried it up from the valley, already written.

The silence in the room — it sits there, says nothing. Then you arrive with a question in your hand, and suddenly the silence becomes an answer. You think you discovered something. You installed it.

Difficulty is not in the thing. It is the friction between where you are and where you decided to go. Change where you are going. The rock remains. The difficulty dissolves.
