Blue blood is classified as a bald-faced lie,

Beneath a clean, alleged sky.

They pinned it on the native son,

His history was done before his story began.

A ghost whisper, a door unsealed,

The truth that never was repealed.

No instrument, just voice and vow,

For then, for now, for never now.

A reporter’s clue, a life erased,

In crooked shoes, the town was placed.

And still the whisper breathes the name —

The innocent who bore the blame.
