Vanessa M. Jackson, is a native of Montgomery, AL and Tuskegee University Dept of Vanessa Jackson is a licensed clinical social worker and motivational speaker. Her specialty treatment area is working with persons who have experienced complex trauma. She has significant experience treating survivors of sexual assault/abuse. Vanessa founded Get the Word Out, Inc. a grassroots nonprofit organization designed to put a stop to childhood sexual abuse and educate adults on how to keep kids safe. Vanessa is the author of “I SAY!” a children’s book written to empower young people to demonstrate ownership of their thoughts, feelings and bodies.
