"HEEERE'S THE JOHNNY CARSON EPISODE!" with Mark Malkoff
Episode notes
Screening Roomers, HEEEERE'S JOHNNY... or actually, here's our Johnny Carson episode! As this week we take a behind the scenes look at one of the most influential figures in comedy and late night television... an innovator, pioneer and star maker who was responsible for breaking the careers of our generation's most popular stars... while also making stars out of some quirky regular folks, as well. But even though Johnny graced our TV sets every night for 30-years, he still remained a bit of a mystery to most. So, this morning we are joined in the Screening Room by writer/comedian/podcast host & author Mark Malkoff (The Carson Podcast) to talk about his new book Love Johnny Carson; as well as all things Johnny as we relive our favorite Tonight Show moments, guests and gags. Plus, we'll even discuss Johnny's one and only film - 1964's LOOKING FOR LOVE! (even if Johnny himself never wanted to)
