Season 2
by Travis Sullivan
This is the final part of Holocaust survivor, Corrie Ten Boom's speech. It's an inspiring message all about God's redemption and forgiveness. I hope you too are inspired by her speech to share the Gospel with those whom you meet.
In this part of the episode we'll continue to listen to a speech given by Holocaust survivor, Corrie Ten Boom.
In this episode I'll be talking about the importance of forgiveness in our lives. I'm going to share an amazing speech given by a Holocaust survivor, Corrie Ten Boom. In her speech she will share with us about God's love for us, forgiveness, redemption and the amazing power of our God.
This is the final part of the episode where I talk about the series the Chosen. You might not agree with everything in this episode. However I ask that you have an open mind. The series clearly doesn't portray the Jesus of the Bible. I ask that you do your research, pray about it and come to your own conclusion of whether or not the series is something that you can support. I mention an article that sums everything up nicely. The link to that article is below as well as the link to the Gideon's International if you are looking for an organization that supports the spreading of God's Word. https://truthscript.com/reviews/concerns-with-the-chosen/ Gideon International Website: https://www.gideons.org/
I continue talking about the series the Chosen. In this part of the episode I talk about the importance of God's word, how we are not to take away or add to it, the effect it has on our lives and how it will last forever. Here are the articles I refer to in this episode that I used to formulate the different parts of this episode. https://g3min.org/the-chosen-and-the-sufficiency-of-scripture/?srsltid=AfmBOoqsWaHhaVVuCAWAjltEQichedmeG2nKaSdptL1T0rZsP_3Gj8q3 https://theaugustapress.com/column-the-chosen-tv-show-does-more-harm-than-good-for-spread-of-gospel-message/ https://www.gospelmattersblog.com/post/the-chosen-should-christians-watch-it https://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/the-chosen-godly-truth-or-dangerous-fiction/
In this episode I continue discussing why the series the Chosen is dangerous to the Christian walk. I begin talking about verses that talk about the importance of God's Word in our Lives as well as the power it has in our lives as well.
I'm beginning to wrap up talking about the reasons the series The Chosen is dangerous to the lives and beliefs of Christians. I refer to the article I was using in parts B & C, but then refer to another article as well. This article talks about Dallas Jenkins defending his statement that Christians and Mormons believe in the same Jesus. Here's the link to that article: https://cbn.com/news/news/chosen-creator-dallas-jenkins-clarifies-rumors-did-he-really-say-mormons-are-christians Here is another article where Jenkins tries to defend his statement about Mormonism and Christianity serving the same God: https://www.deseret.com/faith/2022/5/19/23130781/why-the-chosen-creator-dallas-jenkins-made-definitive-statement-latter-day-saints-jesus-christ-lds/
In this part of the episode I continue talking about the article I found that gives examples of why Christians shouldn't support or watch the series the Chosen. Here is the link to the article I am using for this episode (it's the same one as part B): https://www.fulcrum7.com/blog/2022/7/22/14-reasons-why-i-wont-watch-the-chosen Also, I refer to a video by Pastor John Hagee called God hates a coward. It's a video that is mean to be encouraging and uplifting. Here is the link to that video (I don't own the rights to the video, but it's on Youtube, so anyone can access it): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIKEEh6vge8 I will continue the discussion of the series on the next episode.
In this episode I start to give examples from the series The Chosen of why I believe the series is dangerous for those who don't know Christ. I refer to an article in the episode. Here is the link to that article: https://www.fulcrum7.com/blog/2022/7/22/14-reasons-why-i-wont-watch-the-chosen. I encourage you to read the article on your own time and come to your own conclusions about the series. Even though it doesn't claim to be Biblical there are many reasons why the series shouldn't be supported by Christians.
This is the introductory episode where I begin talking about the series The Chosen. I talk about the main people I will refer to in the episode and give a little bit of background on the series.
