"Pick Me" pt. 2 Sunday November 10th, 2024

Podcast Episode Description: In this episode we continue our series, "Pick Me," exploring what life looks like for followers of Jesus in the wake of the election. Building from the Book of Acts, Pastor Lindsey delves into what it means to be a "Follower of the Way"—a lifestyle centered on Jesus rather than mere religious observance. As we look to John 15, we’re reminded that staying connected to Christ, like a branch to a vine, is crucial in times of uncertainty. How do we remain faithful and connected to Him, especially when faced with outcomes we didn’t pray or vote for? Drawing from Daniel's example of abiding in God even in exile, we discuss how we can remain in union with Christ through commitment, trust, and a reliance on His promises. This episode challenges us to adopt daily practices that keep us grounded, including prayer for leaders (Romans 13), embracing the Great Commission (Matthew 28), and kindling the fire of the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5). Join us as we explore how to live faithfully in every season, reflecting the life-changing power of being Followers of the Way.

"PICK ME" part one - Sunday, November 3rd,2024

As election season heats up, it’s easy to get swept away by headlines, debates, and political promises. But in this episode, we’re shifting our focus to the One who holds ultimate authority. In a message titled “Pick Me,” we explore how following Jesus, not just a candidate, brings lasting hope, peace, and purpose. Join us as we dive into scripture—from Jesus’s powerful response to the Pharisees in Matthew 22 to His reminder in Colossians 3 to keep our minds on things above. We’ll unpack why our allegiance shouldn’t lie with donkeys, elephants, or any human leader, but with the Lamb who reigns over all. Instead of placing our hope in fleeting political promises, we’re invited to trust the unshakable kingdom of God and to let our lives reflect His image. As we discuss stewardship in our voting, finances, words, and heart posture, we’ll focus on what it means to choose Jesus in every area of our lives. Tune in for a conversation that encourages you to “stand” for God’s kingdom by “kneeling” at the cross. Remember, our hope isn’t built on policies or politicians—it’s secured in our eternal King. This election season, pick Jesus—not just for today, but for eternity.

Suffer Well - Sunday October 20th, 2024

In a world filled with frustration, hardship, and brokenness, how do we endure? In this episode, we dive into the reality that while Jesus has redeemed us from the curse, we still live in a fallen world. Drawing from Genesis 3 and Romans 8, we explore the deep truth that not everything bad that happens is someone's fault—it’s simply part of life in a world marred by sin. But here’s the good news: everything, even our suffering, points us to Jesus. Suffering well doesn’t mean ignoring the pain or pretending it doesn’t exist. It means facing trials with faith, dignity, and resilience—allowing our hardships to draw us closer to God. We look at the example of Christ, who endured suffering with purpose, and how we can follow in His footsteps by trusting in God’s plan. We’ll also talk about the dangers of trying to "ignore and override" pain, a mentality common in both military and church culture, and why we must face suffering head-on, rooted in hope. Discover how to endure life's storms under the covering of Christ's grace, and remember that God never wastes a hardship. Key Scriptures: - Genesis 3:8-17 - Romans 8:20-21 - Job 1:22 - Psalms 34:18-19 - John 11:35-36 Listen in as we learn to keep the faith and suffer well in the midst of a broken world!

In this week’s message, we dive deeper into the spiritual battles that every follower of Jesus must face. Learn practical steps for equipping yourself daily with the truth, righteousness, faith, and the Word of God to stand firm in this spiritual war. Listen in as we discuss what it means to identify the enemy, break free from strongholds, and walk in the victory that Jesus has already won. The battle is real, but so is the power of God’s Word and Spirit working in us. Are you ready to put on the full armor of God? What piece of the armor are you neglecting?

"How to live rightly in a broken world" part 1 -September 8th, 2024

We unpack the concept of sin, derived from the Greek word "hamartia," meaning "without form." Sin causes us to live out of context with God’s original design—like playing a piano out of tune or a lion believing it's a fish. The root of sin is believing lies about ourselves and God, as seen in the fall of Adam and Eve. But there is hope! Jesus provides a new way of living that aligns with our true design. We explore how to live the Jesus way—through prayer, peace, love, forgiveness, service, and obedience—and why living rightly is not just an option but a necessity. The alternative? A life of brokenness, frustration, and unfulfillment. Tune in to discover how you can find purpose, peace, and harmony by embracing the life God has designed for you! Don't miss this powerful discussion as we kick off this series and begin to understand how to live rightly in the midst of a broken world.
