Episode 3 - DB Cooper

In 1971 a man purchased a one way ticket with cash for a Northwest-Orient flight from Portland to Sea-Tac, shortly after take off he informed a flight attendant that he had a bomb and showed her a bomb like device in his briefcase. He demanded $200,000 in cash and 4 parachutes and was paid his ransom before jumping off the plane into a dark rainy night, never to be identified or seen again. Only a small amount of the cash was ever recovered when it was found buried in a riverbank near one of the proposed drop zones. Episode 2 - The Austin Yogurt Shop Murders

In December of 1991 four teenage girls were found murdered in the back of a frozen yogurt shop. A patrol officer had noticed a fire in the middle of the night and after firefighters extinguished the blaze, the bodies of the four girls were located. While several people have confessed to the crimes and two were put on trial and found guilty, their convictions were overturned and new evidence suggests they were not involved. Episode 1 - Maura Murray

In 2004 21 year old Maura Murray left her dorm room at UMass, withdrew all $280 left in her bank account, purchased some alcohol and drove to northern New Hampshire. Around 7 pm she lost control of her car and ended up in a snowbank. Witnesses offered help but she begged them not to call 911. Sometime in the 7 minutes a witness saw her and when the police arrived she vanished and has never been seen or heard from again. This case is as fascinating as it is frustrating and tragic.
