An UPDATE in the Pandemic Primer Podcast series - "Variants and Vaccines". Various coronavirus vaccines, after an accelerated development, creation and testing period are now in commercial production and being distributed globally. Others are in the pipeline. They offer significant hope towards curbing the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. However, there are many challenges and unknowns surrounding the global vaccine roll-outs including the precise details of each vaccine's efficacy, how long each vaccine will offer immunity and for what specific age cohorts and whether transmission of the virus will be inhibited by the vaccines.
