It's finally race week which means a couple fun new segments on the pod! Track Stats with Han and Emma's Weekly Crush Tracker - spoiler alert: Yuki made it on this week's top five. Listen along to Hannah and Emma's Baku predictions, a history lesson about Ferrari's Fuel Scandal and 'Heightgate'...how tall are these drivers really?

Are We IndyCar Fans Now?

Female motorsport content creators are popping up everywhere and we love it! Hannah and Emma sit down with Rachel and Kate from Paddock Pundits to talk all things IndyCar and the F1 comparisons following the Long Beach Grand Prix. This may have started with them just needing to fill the time until the next Formula 1 race, but it's safe to say that IndyCar has gained at least two new fans this weekend over here at Track Talk. Check out Paddock Pundits Podcast - https://open.spotify.com/show/5qcJPEdKwy7iPqCPMZnZhF?si=0b7572923db643c2

Too Many Practices, Not Enough Pierre

What are driver penalty points? What the heck is a sprint race? Do the drivers really need three practice sessions? Hannah and Emma have some of the answers, but we’ll just cut to the chase, all of us (including the drivers) are just filling the time until Race 4 in Baku. From golf to IndyCar to drooling over Alex Albon, there’s a lot to keep us entertained until lights out.

Chaos Down Under

8 driver retirements, 4 race starts, 3 red flags, 2 safety cars and 1 action packed weekend. Join Hannah and Emma as they break down the timeline of events that was the chaotic Australian Grand Prix and if you think it can't get worse than a car on fire or K-Mags losing a tire...think again. (At least we got some Danny Ric content out of it.)

Melbourne & Mario Kart

No race to analyze but there's still plenty to discuss! From Australian Grand Prix predictions to potential new circuits to trying to explain what DRS is (Hannah sums it up in about 5 seconds). Count how many pop culture references they make, how much merch Hannah and Emma have (too much) and how often they mention Danny Ric. Also love triangles in Formula 1? They're more common than you think.

What Happened at Jeddah?

The second race of the season left us with questions such as…is it too early to start calling team orders? What exactly happened with Alonso’s penalties? Are we still Ferrari Fans? Is McLaren okay? Hannah and Emma tackle all of these topics and more, including a fun F1 x Harry Potter crossover (and to be clear, we love Yuki).

Welcome to Track Talk

Explicit
Join Hannah and Emma for their first episode where they share their experiences of how they got into F1 and their first impressions of each other. They also exchange their 2023 predictions and dive into Season 5 of Drive to Survive, discussing what you might have missed and what the producers definitely missed.

Netflix Cup & Midweek Extras (BONUS EPISODE)

Netflix’s first live sporting event was certainly a spectacle and if it’s any indicator for how the rest of the weekend will go…well let’s just say we won’t be surprised. Yes the Pro Golfers carried the teams and yes it was basically a Netflix commercial for 1.5 hours but the content was entertaining, Carlos could make the move to golf if F1 doesn’t work out and now we know karma is officially not on Alex Albon’s side. Also if you were one of the many people who tuned in just for the drivers and know nothing about golf, don’t worry, Hannah and our notes from our golfer friend (shoutout Josh) do wonders to explain what actually happened and what we can take away from this event. Non Netflix Cup additions in this episode - Lando might be entering his rep era, Lewis Hamilton is larger than life, the Vegas Sphere better not disappoint us this weekend and we, at Track Talk, finally let the cats speak.

The Man, The Myth, The Memer: David Malukas (BONUS EPISODE)

We sat down with the one and only Meme King of Indy Car, David Malukas of Arrow McLaren to chat all things Cars (the movie) and Cars (the racing kind). There’s a lot to look forward to as we all anticipate the 2024 season and David highlights a few races you won’t want to miss and shares what’s in store with Pato, Alex and the Arrow McLaren Content Team. We’re all rooting for a game show at this point and David’s brutally honest about who he wants as his teammate. Get to know the IndyCar driver a little better with a rapid fire question game and if you’re wondering what he cherishes more, the Indy500 or his memes…you’ll just have to listen to find out the answer.
