In episode 20 of The New Twenty Four, Gavriel and Torrence resume their weekly hoop conversations behind the microphone to discuss some of the top players among other items to garner their attention over the last week in the Opening Tip-Off segment (05:10), before taking some extensive time to highlight the play of their hometown Chicago Bulls after capturing wins in eight out of their last ten games and what to make of the franchise's sudden turnaround down the stretch (19:58). On top of pondering over whether the team that hoists six banners above the United Center should seek to trade their first round pick in this year's NBA draft for Zion Williamson (31:56).
While also examining the maturation of Coby White after recently becoming the first player to capture back-to-back Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors since Joel Embiid back in 2023 (35:13), prior to talking about whether the LA Clippers can find a way to avoid another first-round exit for the third season in a row (41:38) and analyzing James Harden's case to make an All-NBA team for the first time in the last five seasons (49:07).
As the dynamic duo also take a moment to share their thoughts on a young Portland Trail Blazers squad that entered the week just 2.5 games back of the 10th and final play-in spot in the Western Conference (53:52).
