Wrong Fire: The Salem Witches Weren't Burned
Episode notes
The torch, the stake, the pile of wood, and a crowd watching a "witch" burn. It's the picture everyone has of Salem.
It's also in completely the wrong place. Cass is sure about the fire. Pip has the 1692 court records, a quiet hill just outside town, and the reason the most famous witch trial in history gets blamed for something that actually happened an ocean away. A careful, kind look at what really happened in Salem, and why getting it right matters more than the fire ever did.
That's the season! Cass and Pip will be back, and they've already spotted something very suspicious about spiders.
