Close your eyes and picture a Viking. Big boat, big beard, and two great horns curling off the helmet. You can see them, can't you? Everyone can.

There's just one problem. In over a thousand years of digging, not one horned war helmet has ever come out of a Viking grave. Not a single one. Cass is sure about the horns. Pip traces the most famous hat in history back to a German opera stage in 1876, then springs a trap: real horned helmets DO exist, just two thousand years and an entire civilisation away from any Viking.
