This is Adolph Sutro's lecture on Mine's and Mining originally delivered at Pipers Opera House in Virginia City Nevada.

This isn't just on mines, mining and the Sutro Tunnel. In here Mr. Sutro speaks heavily about the corrupt politics, choosing to be an independent over Democrat or Republican and the struggles of the working class American of the time while under the pressure and control of the big banks.

You will learn much about the Sutro Tunnel, mining, mines, politics and every day life of the late 1800's. Adolph Sutro's original speech at the Pipers Opera house was delivered on September 20th 1869. He contiuned his fight throughout the entire process of the tunnel being built until it was finally completed and opened on June 30th 1879.
